LOPEY R2

Hi it's Charlie. This is the brand new LOPEY R2. It's got a 8L quad turbo V8 petrol engine which produces a whopping 1200 brake horsepower and 1500 lb ft of torque. You should hear it on a race track.

This car can do 0-60 mph in 1.5 seconds and has a top speed of 256mph.

It's the hot new toy belonging to Sally Jackson. She has turned out to be a bit of a power freak with her love of sporty cars and breaking speed limits. You should see her motoring along the freeways of Lego City.

This is a car built for agility. Hairpin bends: no problem. Just don't get a speeding ticket Mrs J.

Here she is:

But safety first!

It beats the fastest 0-60 mph record which was set by:

Porsche 918 Spyder with 2.2 seconds for it's 0-60! Want to learn more?! Here's the Wiki page.

It has four turbos... So? Turbos are very important for making a fast car along with superchargers and many other methods! We even have an example of a supercharger on this blog. Ron's car, the R2UUUU! Any way as I was saying, an engine needs fuel and air to run. Fuel comes from the fuel tank and the air enters the car though intakes. A turbo is a fan that pushes more air into the engine faster than without. With more air, the engine can also take more fuel. Thus, more power! You are probably thinking; what spins the fan? Good question. Its not an electric motor, its not the wheels of the car, its the exhaust gases! The exhaust coming from the engine is going to be wasted anyway, so its very clever to use it to get more power! So to put it simply, the exhaust gases spin a turbine which is connected to spin another fan that pushes more air into the engine! (Like explained before.) If you still don't get it or just want to know more, check out the wiki!
